About the Neighborhood

This project is part of the Local Flavor Guide series produced by the Mile High Business Alliance. uHills is short for University Hills, which is located just south of I-25 in Denver on Colorado Blvd. University Hills is made of plazas, most of which still have their 50′s era plaza signage. Though plazas normally mean chain stores and restaurants, you might be surprised to learn that most of the uHills area is locally-owned. In fact, you’ll find a number of great Mediterranean restaurants in the neighborhood.  You can download a pdf of the guide from MHBA’s site.

My Role in this Project

I designed the overall look for the guide series and each individual guide. The art direction for this guide, as always is to give a good feel of the neighborhood. The images used in each guide is a combination of photography that I shot, illustrations I drew, and some stock images. Scroll through the images above to see the finished guide and the photos I took for it.
